In both my clinical practice and my product business I get a lot of people seeking support with their sleep. I have a lot of opinions on why I think this is, some of it is the usual stuff I like to go off about: the pressures of capitalism, our collective societal devaluation of rest... We live in a culture that leaves really only a small segment of the day for sleep, forcing us all to squeeze our many varied bodies and minds and needs and lifestyles into the same minimal chunk of hours with the same expectations of energy level and productivity the next morning.
